Thankfulness for the world to see

“I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders.”

Psalms 9:1 NASB

Christmas is coming, and it’s always exciting open up our gifts to see what our loved ones, and friends, have given us. When it comes to gifts we really like we often like to tell others about the great gift and the great person who gave it to us. Every day with Jesus is far better than Christmas, and the gifts that He blesses us with every day are infinitely better than anything anyone else can ever give. At the very least He gives us air to breathe, food to eat, water to drink. He blesses us with what we need for every day, and most importantly He blessed us with salvation. Are we as quick to tell others (testify) what Jesus has given us as we are to talk about our Christmas or birthday gifts? Are we intentional about letting the world see how good Jesus is?

Bill Johnson, in his book ‘God Is Good’ says, “The revelation of God’s nature (His goodness) brings the nations to Him. But His nature is seen in His blessing upon His children.”

Do we let the world around us see His blessing, so that it can see Him?

“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.”

Revelation 12:11

The devil and his work in this world is overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and by our testimonies of God’s goodness in our lives. So, let’s always be thankful for God’s goodness in our lives, and be always ready to give testimony of Him.
