Evernote is perhaps the best way to keep notes of any kind. Using the webclipper you can save portions of webpages, or whole webpages to Evernote (which stores a database online and on you computer, or multiple computers). You can create notes from scratch using the built in editor. I use Evernote for:
- Recording usernames and passwords for just about anything
- clipping bits and pieces of interesting or useful webpages
- collecting resources for my Model Railway hobby
